Let Others Shine AND Let Ourselves Shine

"... people in our society at least unconsciously hold the conviction that someone else's success limits their own, makes them lesser, and puts a permanent lid on their own chances.

The world believes in finite resources and in everybody's guilt. As long as we adhere to these pernicious beliefs, we will not only fail to let others shine, but we will never be able to allow ourselves to shine fully either."

-- Marianne Williamson

When you light up other people's lives and let them shine, you are the one who holds the candle with light.

The different between having the light on your candle and lighting others as well are:

With light on your candle, you have some light to shine on your journey in life. When you light up another's candle, the light on their candle not only brightens their life, it also illuminates yours!

Sometimes in life, we may hold a candle without light and live in darkness.

We would appreciate those who light it up!

When we need the light and someone passing by lights it up for us, our hearts rejoice with the brightness it brings!

That experience is unforgettable!

If creating that unforgettable experience is as convenient and as easy as lighting a candle for others, why hesitate!

I have just celebrated my birthday and I am thankful to have friends who always light up my candle when I need it!

My life is only meaningful if I can light up theirs as well!
