Date: 2nd Oct 2008 (Thur)
Time: 9.30am (registration)
Venue: Li Ka Shing Library, Singapore Management University (SMU).
As a member of Library Association of Singapore, I was invited to attend a hands-on LawNet training session, co-organised by Special Libraries Section Committee, LAS, Singapore Management University and Singapore Academy of Law.
The aim of the session is to provide participants with a refresher on search techniques and to update users on new developments for LawNet.
Although light refreshments were provided at registration before the session starts, I was unable to make it on time so missed the opportunity to meet and catch up over coffee with counterparts before the session start.
Nevetheless, I was with one of the Speaker, Clifford and his colleague in the lift on the way to 5th floor in Li Ka Shing Library, SMU. We have a brief chat and entertained by each other's humous.
When I visited the wash room, I met Hayati, the other Speaker. With her help, I was able to look good in my new outfit. I appreciate her spontaneous guesture in assiting me with my brooch pin at the back of the Kapaya!
So, that was the social interaction I had before the session start.
Now look at what I learn from the session:
Ist Speaker: Ms Tan Pin Pin
